My First 5k

On May 19, I ran my first 5k.  What an experience that was!  It was bitter-sweet, in many ways. The Outdoors Is My Gym

Lately I’ve started to fall in love with running.  This is a completely new thing and something I never envisioned would EVER happen.  There are a few reasons I avoided running for so long: I never thought I could do it.  I didn’t believe I was physically capable of running for any distance. I’m a smoker and I always thought smokers can’t run.  This is totally a myth I was too self-conscious to take my work out to a public place. Happy Leap Day – Monthly Update

February 29th, eh?  This only comes around once every 4 years.  I would like to say that I have something fantastic planned for this extra day, but alas I do not. It’s just another Wednesday on my calendar.  For some reason, I’m kind of kicking myself for not getting married on a leap day.  That just sounds fun.  Don’t ask me why – I couldn’t really explain why I think so.
